Join Troop 238!
If you wish to join Troop 238 and:
you live in Tacoma, Washington and;
you have completed the fifth grade and are at least 11 (or 10 if you have completed the Arrow of Light); and you are not yet 18 years old,
then we extend the invitation to you and your parents to attend in one of our weekly scout troop meetings. If you are not yet 11 years old and still want to join the Scouts and have lots of fun, check with our Cub Scout Pack #42 at http://sites.google.com/site/tacomapack42/.

Meetings are generally held beginning at 7:00PM on Mondays. It is also a good idea to contact our Scoutmaster at (253) 961-6976 prior so we know you are coming and can make sure you have proper directions.
What to expect at a troop meeting: We start with an opening ceremony. We will usually work on a verbal discussion about a particular merit badge or we'll work on the merit badge if it can be done indoors at the school. We'll also plan our campouts and other fun activities. Of course, we work on fundraisers and other stuff too. At around 8:00PM we go to the gym and play basketball or some other game. Sometimes we'll go outside to play. The meetings end around 8:30PM with a closing ceremony.
